Badminton Tournament Organized by the Parent Council
The Parent Council, IPHS, had organized a Badminton Tournament for parents in the school playground. There were three categories for the tournament – Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles. The Physical Education teachers of IPHS were in charge of the registration and preparing badminton court for the tournament. The response from the parents was really appreciative. The preliminary rounds started from 25th November, 2018 in the evening in the school premises. Few members from the Parent Council had volunteered to support in the successful completion of the tournament. The finals of the tournament were conducted on 4th December, 2018. The parents participated enthusiastically and displayed their sportsmanship. The winners will be honoured with Prizes and Certificate of Merit on Friday, December 7th during the Annual Day Programme.
Parent Council Formation 2018-19
The first council meeting was held on Saturday, 12th May 2018. The agenda was to select the Chairperson and Secretary, to felicitate the former Chairperson Mrs. Veena Santhosh and Secretary Mrs. Aisha Hussain for their untiring efforts and cooperation rendered, and felicitated them with bouquets. Dr. Annamma Mathew briefed on the activities held in the month of April and May. The council unanimously selected Mrs. Veena Santhosh as the Chairperson and Mrs. Aisha Hussain as the Secretary once again. Principal, Mrs. Anubha Nijhawan welcomed all the members, requested them their support and guidance, the same in the future also. The meeting adjourned at 8.15 pm and all the members promised to be active participants in all the school activities and meetings.
