Primary Section Activities 2021-22

STOP CYBERBULLYING DAY ACTIVITY-Primary Section

Students from Grade 1 to 3 prepared posters sharing awareness messages on cyber bullying.

Students of grade 4 and 5 watched a video on cyber bullying ( Source – MOE) and also enthusiastically took part in the poster making activity.

Virtual Thematic Assembly (Primary Section)

A virtual assembly was conducted on Monday, 7th June 2021 for Grade 3 to 5 students. A breathing exercise session was conducted by Mrs. Preethi Anoop, which was a relaxing way to start the day. Principal Mrs. Anubha Nijhawan addressed the students at the beginning of the assembly. Students of class V D presented a video on Tips to be followed during summer season.  Also they presented various programmes showcasing their talents. At the end of the assembly, students of class VD and class teacher were appreciated by the Supervisor.  In her appreciation note the school Principal mentioned that such events should be conducted every fortnight to relieve the children from their monotonous routine. All together it was a refreshing experience for the students.

World Laughter Day 2021@ IPHS

The first Sunday of May is celebrated as World Laughter Day and this year, it is being observed on 2nd May 2021. World Laughter Day is an annual event celebrated to raise awareness about laughter and its many healing benefits.

Orientation Programme (2021-2022) - Class One

“A parent is a teacher at home, a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the center of our universe.”

A virtual orientation programme’ was conducted for the parents of Grade One students for the academic year 2021-22 on 8th April 2021. It was conducted in two sessions. The programme commenced with a warm welcome and introduction by the respective class teachers for the academic year 2021-22. The school Principal’s message was shared by the class teachers. The other aspects covered in the orientation programme include school vision, curriculum, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. The importance of effective communication between the teachers and parents was stressed upon during the session. The relentless support of the parent community also aids in the overall development of the students. Several tips on how to nurture a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future were also put forth during the programme.

The inputs from the Primary Section supervisor, Mrs. Shammy Santhosh added more value to the session. She assured the parents with good quality education for their children. She gave tips to parents as how to raise kids who are not only disciplined but at the same time happy and responsible human beings. She emphasized that parents should always encourage their children in a positive manner.

A power point presentation was shared by the class teachers to make the parents aware of the methods and the ways of evaluation. Important points related to the school policies and responsibilities of students were also highlighted. The queries raised by the attendees were answered by the class teachers.
