Orientation Programme – Primary Section
A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent at school and the child is the center of their universe. Understanding the vital role of parents in the overall development of the child, IPHS organized an orientation program for the parents of Grade 1 and 2 on 4th April 2019 in the school premises. The aim was to familiarize the parents as ‘Partners in Progress’ with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. The session started with an introductory note by our respected Principal Mrs. Anubha Nijhawan. Madam introduced the class teachers and explained the policies of Ministry of Education and school regarding academics, attendance, transportation, health and safety of students. In her speech she laid stress on the holistic development of the child which is the main aim and objective of the school.
It was followed by an awareness talk by school Student Counselor Mrs. Bitty Devasia. Parents were appraised about the Special Educational Care provided by the school to the slow learners. This session was followed by an interactive session between parents and class teachers of Grade 1, where they detailed information regarding academics and non academic activities. The session ended at 7:30 pm.
